SOUTH PACIFIC HANDBOOK
Canadian travel writer David Stanley has published his seventh edition of the South Pacific Handbook. In addition, he has written guides on travelling through Fiji, Tahiti, Samoa, Tonga and Micronesia.

USGS / PACIFIC ISLAND ECOSYSTEMS RESEARCH CENTRE
This facility conducts research on the living natural resources in the Pacific Basin. They work to identify what remains of the original biota of this region, determine what is happening with these life forms, then assess what kind of management actions their partners might undertake to ensure the survival of these unique life forms.

Earthwatch Institute engages people worldwide in scientific field research and education to promote the understanding and action necessary for a sustainable environment.

NOAA
NATIONAL OCEANIC & ATHMOSPHERIC ADMINISTRATION
Research conducted by NOAA’s network of scientists includes programs aimed at understanding climate change and climate predictability. As well, they work toward developing a better understanding of the role played by the environment and the ocean on human health.

NATIONAL TROPICAL BOTANICAL GARDEN
The National Tropical Botanical Garden is dedicated to the conservation of tropical plant diversity, particularly rare and endangered species.

THE EXPLORERS CLUB
This society has been in place since 1904, bringing explorers and scientists together from around the globe. It is a forum dedicated to the advancement of field research and scientific exploration.
